Tidal Pulse is a long-term photographic project that visualizes the rhythmic movement of tides around Jeju Island.

The ocean continuously breathes — advancing, retreating, and reshaping the shore in cycles governed by the moon and time. These movements are often unnoticed in daily life, yet they form one of the most fundamental rhythms of the planet.

Rather than depicting the sea as a static scenery, this project treats the tide as a living pulse — a natural clock that connects Earth, water, and celestial forces.

Tidal Pulse is not about dramatic moments, but about continuity.It is an attempt to make invisible time visible, and to reflect on humanity’s place within nature’s endless cycles.

Tidal Pulse(물때)는 제주 해안을 따라 반복되는 조수의 움직임을 시각화한 장기 프로젝트입니다. 바닷물은 끊임없이 숨 쉬듯 밀려왔다가 물러나며 달과 시간의 영향 아래 해안을 변화시킵니다. 일상에서는 잘 인식되지 않는 이 모습은 지구에서 가장 근본적인 리듬 중 하나라고 생각합니다.
