해발 고도 1947m로 남한에서 가장 높은 활화산이자 대한민국(한반도)에서 가장 높은 국립공원이며 정상에 백록담이 있습니다. 겨울에는 대설특보가 발효될 정도로 눈이 많이 내리고 여름철에는 하루에 1,000mm(1m) 이상의 집중 호우가 내리는 경우도 있을 정도의 기상 변화가 다양한 곳입니다. 한라산 국립공원 지정 전역이 유네스코 세계자연유산에 등재되어 있습니다.

It is the highest active volcano in South Korea at an altitude of 1,947m, and there is a lake called Baekrokdam at the summit. There is a heavy snowfall warning in winter and there is a terrible heavy rain of more than 1,000mm (1m) per day in summer. The entire designated Hallasan mountain National Park is listed as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site.
